IFAW works to protect animals and their environments worldwide. This audiovisual collection dates back to the 1970s, and details every aspect of IFAW’s work:
- Commercial Exploitation and Trade of the Canadian seal hunt and commercial whaling
- Animals in Crisis and Distress emergency relief after natural and man-made disasters;
- Rescue and rehabilitation of farmed, orphaned, abandoned and zoo animals
- Habitats; nature reserves, ocean sanctuaries and national parks

The
collection comprises footage of large-scale projects;
the rescue and rehabilitation of thousands of seabirds
after an oil spill, or the fight for the conservation
of whales by preventing the construction of a salt factory
in a whale nursery – and the success stories of individual
animals, such as Commando the chimp, orphaned for bushmeat,
and Kapela the Baby Rhino.
