A Video News Release (VNR) is video content specifically produced for the media. It consists of A-roll and B-roll.

A-roll is a 90-second scripted news report succinctly explaining a complex story to broadcasters, increasingly delivered directly onto online news portals.

B-roll is up to 10 minutes of packaged interviews and footage to be edited by journalists. It includes background information and shotlists.
